Statistically the village of Kilpisjärvi is a great choice – the northern lights appear here more frequently than anywhere else in Lapland. While staying in the village you may catch sight of Aurora Borealis without going far from your accommodations – a short walk takes you away from any light pollution. But if you want to venture out further and experience the arctic night in the nature, join our evening tour to the wilderness.

The tour starts with a snowmobile passenger sled transfer from the village center. You’ll be seated comfortably on cushions, wrapped in blankets, while your guide pilots the machine towards the darkness. At the destination, which is a basic wilderness camp, you spend the evening marveling at the sights and sounds of the arctic nighttime nature and anticipating ”Lady Aurora’s” mood.
