We love summer! Nothing beats a dip in the lake (water temperature +5,5 C) and then drying off in the sun (air temperature +15 C). And yes, all eight huskies did it and so did I.

Husky Nekku after a swim in the lake today.
The temperature of the water in Lake Kilpisjärvi is presently + 5 degrees Celsius. The adult huskies enjoy going for a swim now that the days are already quite warm and they still wear their winter coats, but the youngsters, Nalle and Nekku, are a bit skeptical. We had a few chilly days with snowfall earlier this week, but then towards the weekend summer decided to settle in. The sun does not set for another five weeks, the arctic birches have turned fully green, the lake is free of ice and the #globeflowers are in bloom. It's a wonderful world!
